About Me
Delia He

(She/Her)

I believe we are stronger together. My counselling practice is committed to helping you heal from past experiences and develop the mental resiliency to handle future events. I have a Bachelors degree in Criminology and a Masters degree Counselling Psychology. I have over a decade of experience working 1 on 1 with individuals.

My areas of focus include: depression, anxiety, self-esteem, PTSD, attachment, grief and loss, trauma, post-traumatic growth, operational stress injuries, moral injuries and vicarious trauma/burnout. I have lived experience as a front-line worker who has suffered through an operational stress injury and burnout. I spent a number of years working on the front lines on the Downtown Eastside and understand the difficulties in navigating demanding and high stress work environments.

I aim to provide a reflective and encouraging space where you can process difficult experiences and understand what has happened to you. I also want to provide you with the tools to self-manage and feel confident to handle what life throws at you.I utilize different modalities including parts work, attachment theory, lifespan integration, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) and cognitive behavioural therapy, however I integrate tools from various therapeutic modalities that would be fitting and useful to you.

When I am not working or attending trauma trainings, you can find me in the mountains with my dog or with my bow and arrow in the woods.
